The Board’s syllabus in the subject at Senior Secondary Stage has been prepared keeping in view the rigour and depth of disciplinary approach as well as comprehension level of the learners. Besides laying emphasis on conceptual understanding of different content areas, it also aims at promoting process skills and problem solving abilities in the learners.
The syllabus comprises of two components- theory and practical work.
Theory - 70% weightage.
An effort has been made to relate the two components as closely as possible The syllabus has been divided into few broad and separate areas of study.
