Subject: Katha City Stories Contest

 

Dear Principal,

 

KATHA, a Non Government Organization working in the areas of literacy, literature and  education has announced the launching of Katha Asia Utsav in January 2006 in Delhi.  As a pre-event programme the NGO is conducting the Katha City Stories Contest to encourage school students to exercise their creative imagination in writing short stories on urban/city themes.

 

This contest is open to school students of class 8-12 from all over India.  Stories can be on any subject connected with urban experience and can be written in Hindi or in English.   The story should be on A4 sheet and must be 1.5 spaced in 11 pt.  Arial font for  English and any standard font for Hindi.  Stories should preferably be less than 8 pages.  Besides attractive prizes and certificates to be given by the organizers, the prize winners will win a grant for a trip to Delhi to participate in the Katha Utsav 2006.

 

The last date for acceptance of entries is November 15, 2005.  Stories should be sent by e/mail or snail mail to Katha City Stories Contest at the address given below:
